Emerald Coast Theatre Company holds open auditions and

places open call for technical talent for 2018-2019 season

ECTC casts Main Stage Productions, Theatre for Young Audience Shows, Holiday Performers, Improv Actors and Takes Resumes for Technical Crew

Auditions are Friday, June 22 with Call Backs on Monday, June 25

Miramar Beach, Fla. (June 11, 2018) — Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) announces open auditions for its sixth season will be held on Friday, June 22 at 7 p.m. with call backs on Monday, June 25 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Auditions will be held at ECTC’s performance space located on the second floor at 560 Grand Boulevard in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin in Miramar Beach, Florida.

ECTC will be casting for main stage productions: “The Spitfire Grill,” “It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play,” “Dancing Lessons” and “Around the World in 80 Days.” ECTC also will be casting for two Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) productions: “Curious George and the Golden Meatball” and “So You Think It Is Easy Being the Tooth Fairy.”

Performers should bring a recent headshot, updated resume and be prepared to deliver a 45 to 60-second contemporary monologue and two 16-bar selections (one folk style and one classic Broadway). Selections should show as much of range as possible including belting ability.

Actors should bring sheet music, accompanist will be present.

ECTC also will auditioning for contract gigs including holiday carolers and atmosphere Improv Actors. (Singing auditions are not required if the performer is not interested in auditioning for the musicals.)

All positions are paid. Housing is possible. ECTC invites and encourages all actors interested in performing to attend auditions regardless of race, ethnicity, identity or ability.
