A Midsummer Night's Dream (an adaptation)

Fall 2015

With thanks from a grant from the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County, this fifty-five minute comedic adaption of William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" will tour to seven Walton County Schools. Students will have the inspiring cultural experience of viewing live theatre and teachers will have supplimental materials to assist them in pre and post show eduation.

The Pirate Who Learns to Say Please

Pirate Peter Patrick Periwinkle passed his Potential Pirate Power Test and has become a real pest! The power has gone to his head and he believes he is permitted to not say please. His sidekick, first mate Paula Pawnsiskiem persistently tries to persuade him that this is impolite. Pirate Peter is un-persuaded until Paula presents a pretty inescapable predicament.

Two actors will bring this thirty minute play about the importance of saying “please” and “thank you” to life in a classroom, cafeteria, or auditorium. A fifteen minute question and answer time after the performance completes this forty five minute experience. Handouts, including a word search and coloring page, enhance the educational benefits of the play.
