From our Tribe to Yours

My family and I attended a Christmas Eve service this past week. During the service, I reflected on all of the times that I had been in church asking God if Emerald Coast Theatre Company was right for our community, right for my family, and right for me. It was a contemplative moment where I was filled with thanks for the growth we have seen at ECTC. In that same moment, I looked up the church rows and saw one of our long time friends and sponsors. A smile and a wave confirmed in my heart the gratitude for so many that have stepped up and joined our tribe with the mission of affecting our community through theatre.

Soon after, I received an email from a mother who had brought her daughter, an ECTC student, to “A Wrinkle in Time.” This mother shared with us how her child lit up and was filled with joy when she stepped into our space at Grand Boulevard and encountered the ECTC team. Again, my heart was filled with thanks for those of you who have joined our tribe and are investing in the hearts and lives of the children of our community. You see it’s not about theatre. Theatre is just the vehicle for a place of love, of belonging, of building selfconfidence, of being a part of the tribe. So thank you to our board, our sponsors, our donors, members, patrons, and students - thank you to YOU! Those who share our passion and dream. Happy New Year from the ECTC Tribe!
