Dear Friend, Emerald Coast Theatre Company is a 501(c)(3) founded in 2012 by myself and my wife, Anna Fisher. We are a local company based right here in Miramar Beach. ECTC operates year-round with a mission to enrich and entertain the Emerald Coast community through professional and educational theatre. This is accomplished through Educational, Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA), and Professional Theatre programs. The educational programs give our children the opportunity to experience the benefits of involvement in live theatre as a performer. Our goal is to build camaraderie while instilling in children a love of the theatrical arts, compassion for others, and confidence for their future. The TYA programs are designed to educate and inspire the children of our community. The goal is that every student in Walton County has the privilege to experience the inspirational and educational benefits of live theatre as an audience member. The Professional Programs are serving our adult patrons in the community by producing creative and thought provoking plays. Our goal is not just to entertain our patrons, but to inspire them by using the art of theatre to help us all see our world through another's eyes. We send emails about once a week. You subscribe to this email, because you share our passion for the arts, for the performing art of live theater, because you share our view that the health of a community — a quality destination with a true sense of “place” — is measured, in part, by the vibrancy of its arts scene. No doubt, ECTC is a dream come true … and we are so grateful to be celebrating our 5th season. But to sustain ECTC, to ground it in reality … to operate on the day to day, requires financial and in-kind support from individuals and businesses. You may not be aware that theater ticket sales and education program tuition does not begin to cover our full operating expenses. The art of theater is magic, but to create this illusion of disbelief for you, we need you to play a part. We can dream all we want, but to set the stage, build the sets, fill it with props, create the costumes, print 4,000 playbills, and assemble the very seats and stock the bar … we need you and each of the nearly 6,000 patrons who attended last season and the nearly 700 children who enrolled in our education programs. We will do what it takes, because as they say, “the show must go on.” But it won’t “go on,” ECTC won’t go on, without your help. Here is an exciting way that you can help! New this season we are offering a VIP Membership opportunity. VIP Membership includes a VIP name tag, a ticket to all four shows of the Professional Season, a ticket to all three of our Theatre for Young Audience shows, reserved seating for the professional shows, complimentary beer, wine, and water, and access to the Isidro Dunbar Modern Interiors (idMI) VIP Lounge. All of this for just $250 per person. We are putting out a call for ECTC friends, family and fans. And we hope you answer our call. Can we count on you to step up and play your part? If you step up to support us, you will be helping us to fully realize our mission to enrich and entertain the Emerald Coast community through professional and educational theater. We thank you in advance for making a difference, not just for ECTC, but for yourself, your family, your community and this entire region. Because you played your part, you will be able to say … the magic … was all you! Sincerely, Nathanael and Anna Fisher
