EMERALD COAST THEATRE COMPANY CELEBRATES KIDS WITH

BREAKFAST, BOWLING AND AWARDS

Miramar Beach, Fla. (Aug. 3, 2016) — Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC)

honored their students this weekend with a celebration at Uncle Buck’s Fish Bowl in Destin.

The celebration occurred Saturday, July 30 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Breakfast was served as

guests enjoyed bowling with friends and family. During the event children who had participated

in ECTC educational programming were honored and numerous awards were distributed

including community, tech and dedication awards. Each attendee received a gift and had the

opportunity to participate in face painting and a photo booth sponsored by The Storyteller

Agency.

One of the students honored was Ally Ledbetter, who was a part of ECTC’s first class

offered at Destin Elementary School in partnership with the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation dating

back to January of 2013. Ledbetter was awarded Most Dedicated Actor, the Techie Award, and a

full season participation certificate. In the past three years, she has participated in 14 ECTC

classes and/or productions and dedicates her free time to volunteer for the organization.

Emerald Coast Theatre Company has had the privilege of educating more than 200

children this summer and utilized this event to celebrate not only these young artists, but also

prospective students with a passion for the arts. All proceeds benefit the Londe Education and

Scholarship Fund. Since it was founded as in 2012 to enrich and entertain the Emerald Coast

community through professional and educational theater, ECTC has impacted 6,200 children and

youth in Okaloosa, Walton and Bay counties with various creative theater outreach programs.

This fall, ECTC will continue its educational programming by offering children the

opportunity to participate in Disney’s “The Lion King Kids” for elementary, middle, and high

school age children, and “We Are Monsters,” a program for children ages four through seven.

These programs will occur in Niceville, Destin, Santa Rosa Beach and Panama City either after

school or during the weekend. More information regarding fall educational programming can be

found on the company website.
