Emerald Coast Theatre Company Announces Professional Actor Auditions for A Dickens Christmas

EMERALD COAST THEATRE COMPANY (ECTC) is holding auditions for its upcoming production of A Dickens Christmas, directed by ECTC’s Producing Artistic Director Nathanael Fisher. Auditions will be Saturday, October 18th from 10:30am to 12pm. Production dates will be December 11 – December 21, 2014 in Destin and Sandestin with rehearsals beginning in November.

A Dickens Christmas is an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ famous story A Christmas Carol using only three actors. Actors will play multiple roles as they bring to life the tale of Scrooge and his transformational night with the three ghosts. Cockney and Standard British (RP) dialects will be used.

ECTC is seeking:

Male Actor: 50 plus looking, Scrooge type but able to transform into other characters

Female Actor: 30s to 50s looking

Male or Female Actor: 20s to 30s looking

Please prepare a one minute comedic monologue using a Standard British dialect. Actors may be asked to participate in Improv games and cold readings.
